In 2007 he was recalled to active duty and served the year with the Multi-National Force - Iraq, in Baghdad.а He holds a BS in Geology from Old Dominion University and an MS in Geophysics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.а Major Mason now teaches math and science at a small, private, military academy in Alabama.
